harrowing experiences of a former enslaved woman named Lucinda to
the unwavering strength of Sarah, Mia's heritage unfolds before her
eyes. But as she dives deeper into her grandmother’s past, she must
also confront her own identity and the discovery of an unknown
family connection that forces her to realize just how difficult
forgiveness can be.
